​Demetris's christening on the island of Aegina brought together three generations of family for a day rooted in tradition. Just a short trip from Athens, Aegina offered a slower, more intimate setting — the kind of place where the ceremony and the celebration afterward could unfold at their own pace, surrounded by family rather than a big production.

We filmed the day the way we film every celebration: staying close to what was actually happening rather than directing it. The quiet moments before the ceremony, the ritual itself, the relief and joy on the family's faces afterward — all of it became part of the story.

By the time the celebration moved outdoors into the afternoon light, it had become less about the formality of the day and more about everyone gathered together — which is really what these celebrations are about in the first place.
